USA: Ray Mabus, Gary Roughead Announce Flag Officier Assignments

 

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead announced Aug. 17 the following assignments:

Rear Adm. (lower half) Scott T. Craig will be assigned as commander, Strike Force Training Atlantic, Norfolk, Va. Craig is currently serving as deputy chief of staff fleet capabilities requirements, concepts, and experimentation, N8/N9, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Robert P. Girrier, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as director for operations, J3, U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. Girrier is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Seven, North Island, Calif.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Gary W. Rosholt, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as chief, United Arab Emirates U.S. Liaison Office (senior defense official/defense attaché), United Arab Emirates. Rosholt previously served as deputy commander, Special Operations Command, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

Capt. Richard P. Snyder, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy director for joint strategic planning, J-5, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. Snyder is currently serving as deputy director for partnership strategy, J5, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Elaine C. Wagner will be assigned as commander, Navy Medicine East/commander, Naval Medical Center/chief, Navy Dental Corps, Portsmouth, Va. Wagner is currently serving as director, Medical Resources, Plans, and Policy Division, N931, OPNAV/chief, Navy Dental Corps, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Diane E. H. Webber will be assigned as director, Net-Centric Capabilities Division, N2/N6F1, OPNAV, Washington, D.C. Webber is currently serving as director for command control systems, J6, Headquarters North American Aerospace Defense Command/director, architectures and integration, J6, U.S. Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
